No Beer for a year…..
(Please note, this quest is now finished, and I am doing a Skydive for charity)
My name is Shaun O'Connor, and between my 33rd and 34th I did something a little different.
I chose to give up all forms of alcohol.
I can happily say, having enjoyed a few beers since by self imposed ban expired, that I achieved my aim and I would like to thank all those that helped, either by donating or by sharing my stories.
My one year on the wagon started on the 22nd June, 2011 and along the way I raised money by various means. Whilst I fell short of my target on my Just Giving page I did directly cause over £2,500 worth of donations, mainly by getting into the national news.
Unfortunately as the BBC gave the link to the Sheffield Childrens Hospital charity directly on their story of my year, many donations were not logged against my just giving page, however the ultimate aim was donations to the SCH and I am very happy to have given something back to this brilliant charity.
Along the way I tried to write about things such as my motives for doing this, how you may still help out either by donating to the fund or simply by giving me credit via the likes of facebook and twitter.

Well done from 2021 comics at Attercliffe, we will throw in £25 when you finish in June next year. Keep up the good work.
